A pair of polka dot suspenders worn by Melvin Van Peebles. The Y suspenders feature a button end made from two two-pronged leather ends – one on each side. Connected to each button end via brass hardware is a panel of stretchy purple polyester fabric with a white polka dot pattern. There are two brass suspender ratchets – one on each panel of polyester. The polyester panels connect to a triangular shape of brown leather, which is sewn to a back strap made from a single panel of white woven cotton fabric. At the end of the panel of white cotton is a third brown leather two-pronged button end. Sewn to the bottom of white back strap is a white fabric tag with black and red embroidered text that reads [DESIGN / JEAN CASUA[---?] / GREENWICH, CO]
