White and dark red patterned tie worn by Melvin Van Peebles

A white and dark red patterned tie worn by Melvin Van Peebles. The dark red tie is composed of three panels of polyester fabric, seamed together diagonally and features an all-over abstract pattern of solid white circles of various sizes, white hollowed out circles, and black and white checkerboard motifs. The tie is sewn to itself at the vertical center seam at the back. Towards the thinner end of the tie is a white fabric tag that reads [POLYESTER / FIBRE / TERGAL[?] WASH/WE / WOVEN IN / FRANCE] in black text. The inside of the tie is lined with red polyester fabric.
