Plastic straw hat with net and fabric flowers

A straw hat with pink net and decorative fabric flowers. The hat is made of woven plastic straw. The top of the crown is flat and circular. The sides of the crown taper outwards towards the bottom. Flowers in pink, blue, and green made from polyester velveteen and polyester silk decorate the outside of the hat at the top sides of the crown. Small flower buds and pistils placed among the flowers are made of paper. Wire is used for the flower stems and connects the fabric flowers together. Adhesive is used on various points of the wire to adhere the flowers to the hat. Dark pink nylon net covers the outside of the hat. The net is gathered in the center back of the hat. There is no discernable brim from the exterior of the hat. Dark pink tacking stitches are seen on the inside of the hat at the center back. These are used to secure the gathered nylon net on the exterior. The edges of the hat are folded inwards and are secured with a cream petersham rayon ribbon. This petersham ribbon is machine stitched to the inside of the hat. Four metal pins are placed along the petersham ribbon at the back of the hat. A label is located on the center back of the hat that reads [Miss Eileen].
