A beige silk satin top with buttons. The shirt is made of silk satin and has a low V neckline. It opens in the center front with four metal self-fabric covered buttons sewn on the proper left side. The buttons align with four bound buttonholes on the other side. The short sleeves have a one inch silt along each top seam. A three and a half inch bust dart, and a six-inch waist dart are sewn on each side. The shirt ends at waist level and ends with a two-inch self-fabric waistband. A metal hook is sewn below the bottom buttonhole at the interior which aligns with a thread eye on the other side of the center front opening. A three-inch dart is sewn on each side on the back of the shirt, starting at the shoulder seam. The center back seam has an eleven and a quarter inch inverted pleat which ends at the self-fabric waistband. Two pleats are sewn on each side of the center back seam ending at the waistband. The shirt is unlined and self-faced at the sleeves, center front opening, neckline and waistband. The self-facing is hand tacked to the interior. Silk organza interfacing is placed along the front and back of the neckline. Two patches of orange synthetic faille are hand stitched to the waist band. Three labels are sewn along the proper left side facing. The top label reads [Julius Garfinckel & Co. / WASHINGTON]. The center label reads [LOT 3 / Size 10].
