The passage underneath this reads. [Dear Miss, Lois// This is the dress that Ethel White made for me in December 1976. She cut it from a picture in New York Sunday Times black + white ad. I never went for a fitting. I put on + wore it. She died]. The name Ethel White is underlined in black marker. Underneath this passage [From//Francis William] is written in black marker. The back of the envelope is blank.
