Painted canvas fragment

Painted plain weave cotton duck canvas fragment with knife cut edges and no visible ground layer. Dark red paint is applied diagonally with respect to the canvas weave overall, with matte and glossy passages. Fibers and other accretions are adhered to the glossy surface.
