A cream silk dupioni dress and a jacket with embellishments. The dress (a) is full length and sleeveless. It has a boat neckline with a bust dart and a side front seam on each side. A five-inch embellished panel is sewn under the bustline and ends at the natural waist, it gets slightly narrower closer to the side seams. The embellished area is bordered with glass bugle beads and seed beads. Bugle beads are sewn in a lattice pattern with a glass rhinestone in a metal setting at each intersection. Alternating clear plastic beads and silver plastic sequins are sewn in a cross pattern inside of each diamond within the lattice pattern. Faux plastic pearl beads are sewn along the outside of each cross and along the border. The embellishments are sewn on a separate cream silk panel which is handsewn to the dupioni. The dress is gathered below the embellished panel and has a straight silhouette. The back of the neckline is lower, a back side panel is sewn to each side ending at the embellished panel. The dress has a center back seam and a twelve-inch metal zipper sewn along the center back seam. The zipper has a metal pull and plastic teeth, a metal hook and thread eye are sewn above the zipper. The dress is self-faced at the neckline and shoulders. It is lined with white silk. A synthetic ribbon hanger loop is sewn to the bottom of each armscye. Interfacing is placed between the lining and exterior fabric above the embellished panel. The hem of the exterior fabric has a single fold, with white silk fabric sewn at the bottom, it is handsewn at the interior. The hem of the lining has a double fold to the exterior and is finished with a row of hand whip stitches. The lining and exterior fabric are connected to one another at the center back seam and side seams with chain stitched thread. The dress is unlabeled.
