An orange turban with feathers and beaded embellishments. The hat is made of shot synthetic fabric, the warp and weft yarns are different colors, giving the hat an iridescent effect. Three pleats are sewn on each side of the center front adornment. The base of the embellishment is made of a three-inch diameter circle composed of silver plastic bugle beads and clear glass seed beads with a rhinestone at the center. Strands of orange rhinestones and seed beads backed with gauze are placed over top of the embellished circle. Four strands of seed beads with faceted teardrop shaped beads hang from the bottom of the embellishment. A collection of orange feathers is gathered and bound at the center back of the embellishment. Trim made of bugle beads measuring a half inch wide are wrapped around the bottom half of the feathers. Adhesive is placed at the base of the exposed feathers where the bugle bead trim starts. The hat is lined with cream synthetic net. A panel of synthetic felt is sewn to the center front of the hat roughly backed around the same area as the center front embellishment. The hem of the turban is folded inwards and handsewn at the interior. Two woven fabric labels are sewn at the center back of the turban. The top label reads [gary brouwer]. Another maker label is sewn below which is mostly hidden from the upturned hem but is partially visible. The partially hidden label is from the Eaves Costume Company. Written in pencil on the lining is the text [GODFREY].
