A wool single breasted man’s jacket by Jeffrey Banks. The jacket features a single panel collar with a notched lapel. The underside of the collar is backed with a single panel of wool felt. The jacket closes proper right over left with two round plastic buttons on the jacket right and two corresponding keyhole buttonholes on the proper left. Each side of the jacket has an 8.75” vertical waist dart. There is one welt pocket at the proper left breast and two flap pockets, one at each side of the waist that still have their tacking closure stitches. The sleeves are composed of two panels of beige wool blend fabric that are seamed at the inner and outer arm. Each sleeve end has four round plastic faux tortoise shell decorative buttons sewn to the cuff. The back of the blazer is composed of two panels of khaki wool blend fabric that are sewn together at the center back. The inside of the jacket features ten panels of light gray synthetic lining six for the body and two for each sleeve) all machine stitched together. There is a brown woven label with a gold border at the interior proper right that reads [JEFFREY BANKS] in white block letters. Below the brand label is welt pocket with a triangular flap with a keyhole style buttonhole in the center of it, the buttonhole secures with a .5" marbleized plastic button. An additional brand label is sewn to the interior center back collar. The label is brown and reads [JEFFREY BANKS] in white block text. The brand name is surrounded by a gold border. At the proper left interior is a brown woven label that reads [DRY CLEAN ONLY] in white block letters, which is surrounded by a gold border. Below the care label are two interior welt pockets, The interior lining is sewn to the bottom hem of the jacket with monofilament thread. The entire jacket is mix of hand and machine stitching, Center back pleat in the center lining at tucked at the center back with a few hand stitches.
