Yellow woven Breton hat

A yellow woven Breton hat with a yellow ribbon. The base of the hat is made of woven synthetic raffia and is blocked to shape. The top of the crown is flat, and the sides of the crown fit closely to the head. The hat has a deep brim that wraps upwards completely covering the sides of the crown from view. Synthetic bouclé yarn is glued to the center of each synthetic raffia ribbon at crown and inner brim. A metal milliner's wire runs along the edge of the brim and is hidden by a yellow rayon petersham ribbon that is attached with machine and hand stitching. A yellow rayon petersham ribbon is also machine stitched to the hat's inner circumference as a sweatband. There is a white woven label stitched to the center back of the hat along the sweatband that reads [Jelleff's] in black text. A union label is hidden underneath this.
