Manuscript recapitulation of the sale of "Mosquito Point" Plantation on December 15, 1857. The document consists of four sheets of machine-made paper with blue pigment tint, including a cover sheet. There are five total pages of handwriting in black iron gall ink. The documents have been folded in fourths and the paper is discolored along the fold lines and edges. The report describes the sale at auction of the [land, Negro Slaves, and other personal property] from the estate of Jonathan M. Caleb by the executor of his estate, Fletcher Crighton and includes the names of 54 enslaved persons included as part of the sale. The exterior quadrant of the cover sheet has dates and figures written in vertical orientation and the following text written over it in horizontal orientation [Audited and Confirmed / (illegible) to Record / July 26 1858 / Lemuel O'Bridewell / Judge].
