A miniature pink skirt likely inspired by the First Ladies Collection made by Ann Lowe. The skirt is made from one panel of pink synthetic satin for the front and two panels for the back, sewn together at the side seams and the center back. The skirt is gathered and sewn to a 1.25” wide waistband at the top that closes at the proper left with a metal snap and a metal hook and eye closure. The side opening is about 6.5” long. Directly under the waistband, at the top of the skirt panels are two box pleats. At the center of the skirt is a 4.5” wide cream lace panel that is handstitched into place. Pearlescent plastic marquise beads are handsewn throughout the lace panel. At the back waist of the skirt are two small pleats on the outside and two box pleats on the inside. The skirt is self-lined, but there’s a layer of nylon in between the two layers for added structure. The interior lining construction matches the outside of the skirt.
