Gray wool skirt by Arthur McGee

A gray, wool woven, A-lined skirt made by Arthur McGee. The skirt is made from two bias cut panels, sewn in a spiral structure. One panel begins at the proper left front and extends down to the proper right, ending at the proper left at the bottom hem. The second panel extends from the proper right and circles around to the left. The bottom hem is two inches. The hem is folded under, and hand stitched in place with catch stitches in white thread. The inside of the skirt is unlined and there is no label. There is seam binding sewn into the waistband made from synthetic dark gray material and a metal hook closure that hooks into looped thread. A black metal zipper is machine stitched into the center back of the skirt with black thread. The zipper length is 6.25". There is a simple seam in the center front that has been pressed open. Its edges are not surged. The seams attaching the panels are pressed, simple seams with surged edges.
