Black straw hat with cream net

A black straw hat with cream net. The hat is made of black straw with a coating. The hat has a short crown which is round and is indented around the top edge. The hat band is made of black velvet ribbon and is tacked around the base of the crown. A bow made of black velvet ribbon is attached to the center back of the hat band. Cream knit net is draped around the flat brim. The net is gathered at four points at the edge of the brim at the front, back, left, and right with synthetic velvet ribbon. A black synthetic petersham ribbon is machine sewn along the edge of the crown at the interior. A grip edged with metal wire made of coated black straw is sewn to each side of the hat along the hatband. The edge of the brim is tuned under, a metal wire is placed along the edge. A label was sewn along the center back interior of the hat along the petersham ribbon but has been cut.
