An albumen print cabinet card portrait of a woman identified as Amy Graham captured by photographer Robert Williams. The portrait image is oval shaped on a rectangular card mount. Graham is pictured from the shoulders up, looking directly at the camera, with white hair and a dark-colored lace collar secured with a brooch. Printed on the bottom of the card mount beneath a decorative ribbon flourish is the photographer’s name: [R. William Augusta, GA. / 705 Broad Street]. On the verso is a later, handwritten inscription [Aunt Amy Graham / a colored woman 80 yrs. old, / a slave sold when 60 years old]. The age appears to have originally been written as “50,” but the ‘5’ has been written over with a ‘6.’
