A white net dress and a matching vest with ribbon applique. The dress (a) has a round gathered neckline and is trimmed with two bands of white machine cotton lace. Three bands of lace trim alternate with three pairs of horizontal pin tucks across the front of the bodice and elbow length sleeves. Two bands of cotton machine lace are sewn along the bottoms of the sleeves. Two metal snaps are sewn on the proper left side of the bodice, one is along the neckline and the other is along the proper left side seam. The bodice is gathered above the two inch wide waistband. The waistband is stiffened and covered with cotton net. The bottom portion of the dress has two tiers. The top tier is fifteen inches long and is gathered below the waistband. The second tier is twenty and a half inches long and is sewn to the net inner skirt. The inner skirt is made of cotton net and is sewn below the waistband. Pale grey silk satin ribbon one quarter inch wide is sewn in a meandering pattern along the edge of both tiers. The dress has a twenty four inch center back opening and closes with two metal snaps on the bodice. One snap is sewn along the neckline, and the other is sewn seven inches below. Two sets of hooks and eyes are sewn at the waistband. The opening below the waistband closes with one snap below the waistband and two sets of hooks and eyes along the first tier of the dress. The inner skirt closes with two sets of metal hooks and eyes. The dress is machine sewn and unlabeled. Both tiers of the skirt and the inner skirt and finished with a single fold machine sewn hem. The cropped vest (b) is made of cotton net. Pale grey silk satin ribbon one quarter inch wide is hand sewn in a meandering pattern along the exterior of the vest. The side seams and shoulder seams of the vest are machine sewn. The dress is unlabeled.
