A turquoise sleeveless silk crepe de chine dress with floral print. The dress has a boat neckline and has a small shoulder seam ending in a triangular panel on each shoulder. Two vertical shaping darts fourteen and a half inches long start at the bust and end at hip level. The dress has a sheath silhouette and no waist seam. A thirteen-and-a-half-inch long metal zipper is machine sewn along the proper left side seam and starts below the armscye. Multicolored floral print in an illustrative design is printed on the bottom third of the dress. The bottom nine inches of each side seam are left unsewn which create side slits. The back of the dress has a waist seam; the top panel is gathered along the seam. Two shaping darts seven inches long are sewn below the waist seam. The dress has a muslin slip dress sewn along the interior. The straps of the dress are made of cream synthetic grosgrain ribbon. A cotton ribbon is sewn on the lining along the waist seam. The slip mirrors the construction of the exterior of the dress. Self-fabric lingerie straps are sewn along the shoulder at the interior with a metal snap. A self-fabric circle is sewn along the center back which previously held a weight. The dress has a single fold hem which is finished with a hand and machine sewn turquoise petersham ribbon. The raw edges along the hem are pinked and the dress has no label.
