Red hat with upturned brim and feather decoration

A red hat with an upturned brim and feather decoration. The hat is made from two panels of red fur felt that have been sewn together at the crown base and blocked to shape. The hat features a 3” wide upturned brim that has a length of metal wire sewn along the brim’s edge for added stability and structure. A 2” red cotton rayon blend Petersham ribbon is adhered around the crown’s base, ending in a triple looped bow at the proper left. Multicolored red, black, yellow, and white feathers are adhered under the looped portion of the hat band bow. The inside of the hat is unlined. There is a dark red .75” wide rayon Petersham ribbon sewn along the interior crown. There is no label.
