A gusset is sewn to the bottom of each armscye on the front and back of the jacket. A seven-inch zipper with a metal pull and plastic teeth is sewn at the bottom of each side seam of the sleeve. A black synthetic ribbon is sewn at the bottom edge of the sleeves along the interior. The center front opening and neckline are self-faced. The interior seams are finished with machine overlock stitching. The jacket has a single fold hem with a one-inch-wide black cotton band sewn to the raw bottom edge.
