An ivory colored button down dress with a wide collar. The long sleeved, knee-length dress is made from ivory synthetic crepe-backed satin with the crepe side facing outwards. The collar is made from two panels of fabric and is stiffened with a layer of interfacing between the panels for added structure. It’s meant to stay open, creating a V-neckline. Three panels of fabric make up the bodice – one panel for the proper left, one for the proper right, and one for the back. Each sleeve is made from one panel of fabric and is sewn to itself at the inner arm. There is a 2” dart at the elbow. Both the skirt and bodice are gathered and sewn together along the waistline. Three belt loops are sewn around the waistline – one on each side and a third on the proper left side that extends through the waistline seam. Thirty-nine self-fabric .5” buttons are sewn down the center front of the dress that fasten to thirty-nine self-fabric loops. Thirteen buttons are sewn to the collar and the bottom twenty-six are sewn to the proper left side of the dress’s exterior. The skirt is made from four panels of fabric and has a single fold at the center front that extends down to the hemline. There are two shoulder darts (one on each side) at the back bodice. The inside of the dress is lined with plain woven cream acetate fabric. At the interior back neckline is a white brand label that reads [B ALTMAN & CO / FIFTH AVENUE NEW YORK]. There is an additional label at the center back neckline facing that reads [55 / PROFESSIONALLY / DRY CLEAN ONLY / LOT 141 SIZE 16]. An additional label at the proper left side seam of bodice interior reads [LOT 141 / SIZE 16] and there is a union label at the proper right side interior skirt seam.
