Black straw hat with velvet bow

A black straw hat with a velvet bow. The hat is made of synthetic straw, the brim is widest at the front and narrows at the sides and the back. A one-inch-wide black synthetic velvet ribbon is hand sewn to the top of the crown and ends in a bow at the center back. The interior crown is made of a septate piece of synthetic straw and is tacked to the center bottom of the outer shell. A black synthetic cotton blend petersham ribbon is machine sewn to the edge of the interior crown. A woven fabric label is sewn to the center back of the hat at the edge of the interior crown. The label reads [Stern Brothers / New York].
