A U.S. Army Marksmanship Qualification Badge with Army Sharpshooter Qualification badge issued to John Roland Anderson. The three tiered badge features two connected bars at the top and a cross at the bottom. The top bars are shaped like banners, rectangular with rounded edges on the left and right sides. Embossed text on the top bar reads [MARKSMAN], bookended by a set of embossed bullseyes and set against a textured background. The banner below has embossed text that reads [SHARPSHOOTER]. Attached to the bottom is a Maltese Cross with a bullseye at the center. Both of the banners have a copper finish and the cross is silver toned. The top banner is slightly larger than the bottom banner and they are connected by two jump rings threaded through soldered bails. The cross is attached to the bottom banner with a single jump ring threaded through soldered bails at the bottom center of the banner and a bail at the center V-shape of the top quadrilateral. The back of the badge is plain and there is a pin and C clasp soldered to the top bar.
