An American flag lapel pin owned by Pvt. John Roland Anderson. The metal and enamel pin is molded to resemble a waving American flag mounted on a hoist and is embellished with two hanging cords with tassels. The flag features thirteen red and white horizonal stripes divided by gold lines and a blue enameled field in the top left corner with 48 gold five-pointed stars. The fly end of the flag overlaps itself as if blowing in the wind. The back of the pin is a plain, coppery-gold tone metal with no markings. Across the top center is a silver tone pin with a matching locking safety catch.
