An asymmetrical pale mauve hat with fabric flowers and leaves. The hat has a round crown with a wide asymmetrical brim. The proper right side of the brim is much longer coming to a point at the side. The proper left side of the brim is shorter and rounded. The exterior of the hat is decorated with synthetic velvet maple leaves with varying pale colors of cream, pale pink, and pale mauve. The leaves are pressed the mimic the veins of real leaves and are adhered to the base of the hat. Stems made of metal wire wrapped in brown and green paper are placed along the leaves, small fabric flowers made of the same fabric as the leaves are attached to the stems. Blue pistils made of paper are attached to the ends of the stems. The edge of the hat is bound in cream synthetic velvet, a metal wire is encased in the velvet. The base of the hat is made of synthetic net with a coating which stiffens the fabric. A synthetic cream petersham ribbon is handsewn to the base of the crown at the interior. A woven fabric label is hand sewn to the center back interior which reads [Hand Made by / Martha Gerald].
