A brown felt hat with feathers and a bow. The hat has a rounded crown, a self-fabric bow is sewn on the proper left side at the base of the crown. Two orange feathers are sewn above the bow, the ends of the quills are inserted into a black plastic holder to keep them together. The crown and the brim are made of two separate pieces of wool felt. The napped side of the felt is used on the exterior of the crown and on the interior side of the brim. The edge of the brim is upturned, and machine sewn, a metal wire is placed at the edge of the brim. A brown cotton rayon blend petersham ribbon is machine sewn to the base of the crown at the interior. A woven fabric label is sewn to the center back interior and reads [Knickerbocker / fashions / WASHINGTON, D.C].
