A blue and white check pajama set (a-d). The set is made from synthetic twill (possibly rayon) and consists of four pieces. The shirt (a) opens center front and has a notched collar made from three panels of fabric seamed together. The body of the shirt is made from two panels of fabric – one for the back/sides and one for the upper back. It cinches at the waist, has short sleeves that are folded to create a 1.75” cuff and are secured with handsewn overcast stitches. The shirt opens completely at the center front and closes with four fabric covered metal buttons at the proper right and four self-fabric loops at the proper left. There are two 6.75” vertical shaping darts, (one on each side) that start at the shoulder and end at the midback and there is self-fabric pocket at the exterior proper right front. The bottom of the shirt features a 5/8” single fold hem that has been machine stitched into place. There is a back yoke panel that is sewn to the main panel and on the main panel is and single inverted box pleat and two knife pleats (one on either side). A 1.75” wide self-fabric belt is sewn along the outer waist and turns into a sash at the front.
