Black hat with feather and fabric rose

A black hat with a feather and fabric rose. The brimless hat has a wide flat crown which tapers inwards at the bottom. The hat is made of synthetic novelty weave with plastic weft floats which gives the fabric a lustrous quality. A white ostrich feather is sewn to the top of the hat with monofilament thread, the plume extends outwards over the center front of the crown. A red fabric rose made of synthetic organza and synthetic plain weave is sewn with monofilament thread over top of the quill. Two green stems made of plastic tubing are at the back of the flower. The fabric is draped over a foundation of stiff paper and buckram that make up the top and sides of the hat. The fabric is gathered at the bottom of the crown. The hat is lined with black synthetic; two black fabric ties are sewn to the bottom of the hat made of the same fabric as the lining. A black synthetic grosgrain ribbon is hand whip stitched to the bottom of the hat at the interior with monofilament thread. The hat is unlabeled.
