Double breasted taupe suit jacket

A double-breasted taupe suit jacket with a rounded single notched collar and long sleeves. The jacket has princess seams and a shaping dart on each side. A self-fabric decorative flap mimicking a pocket continues from the side panel. Three decorative metal buttons with an embossed flower are sewn on the proper right side. Two of the same buttons are sewn on the proper left side (the top button is missing) which align with three bound buttonholes on the proper left side. The bottom of the center front opening has rounded edges. The back of the jacket has a center back seam and a dart at the top of each shoulder. The back princess seams come to a point at the waist and angle downwards, ending at the center back seam. An inverted box pleat is sewn below the convergence of the princess seams. A shaping dart at waist level is sewn to each side. The jacket is lined with light brown silk synthetic blend. The jacket is self-faced along the collar, neckline, and center front opening. The lining is machine sewn to the facing along the neckline and center front opening but is hand sewn along the hem. Shoulder pads are placed between the exterior and lining.
