A gray beaded capelet (a) with a fur collar (b) and trim (c). The gray beaded capelet (a) is made from one continuous panel of gray boiled wool that has been shaped with perpendicular shoulder darts. One set of darts start at the neck and extend to the top of the shoulder. The second set of darts measure 6” and meet the shoulder darts crosswise. The front of the cap has a 3.5" decorative border made from dark gray synthetic cording, green chainstitched synthetic thread, and a single strand of black glass faceted beads, all sewn in a meandering pattern. The rest of the body of the cape features densely packed strands of black glass faceted beads that are also chainstitched in a meandering pattern. The cape front closes at the front with a single metal hook and eye. Two 3” neckline darts are on the center back of the cape. The interior opening is faced with a 3” panel of self-fabric. Bronze silk satin lines the cape and mirrors the outside of the cape in construction and dart placement. There is a small piece of sticky backed plastic Velcro on the lining of the proper left shoulder. All the garment seams are machine stitched together. There is no label.
