He is leaning against the bar, resting his proper left elbow on the bar and his proper left foot on the bar footrest. Behind him is another man, also leaning against the bar. He is wearing a medium-toned button down shirt with rolled up sleeves, exposing a white, long sleeve shirt below. He is also wearing an open black vest and trousers, and a black hat with a medium-toned band. In the background is a wallpapered wall with dark wood wainscoting. Hanging on the wall are framed and unframed notices, certificates, and advertisements, such as one for Finks Cream Ale. The image has a white border.
