A wooden crown molder or cornice plane. Plane is rectangular in shape with handle and top discharge. On opposite end of the body from the handle, vertically in relief, is [CE CHELOR / LIVING*IN / WRENTHAM]. Beneath, twice, is a fish with the letters [E. M.] appearing in it. At bottom left, is [AOW]. There is evidence of older dents, but the entire plane has a dark stain obscuring the damage from past use. Exit holes show evidence of past insect activity. Handle is anchored to stock with a nail and flathead slotted screw.
