A wooden plow plane. The fence and stems of the tool are joined with wooden pegs. The stems slide through square openings in the body. The metal blade, at top, has a wooden blade edge. Wooden screws tighten to hold the stems in place at the decided width. On side of the body, vertically in relief, is [J. JONES / LIVING IN / MEDWAY]. There are cracks on the stems. There is evidence of older dents and abrasions, but the entire plane has a dark stain obscuring the damage from past use.
