End table from the Rock Rest Tourist Home

A wooden end table from the Rock Rest Tourist Home. The tall wooden table has a medium finish, four turned legs, and an octagonal tabletop with geometric, medium dark wood inlay designs. The table also has a small, deep set skirt and a small, octagonal shelf at the bottom connected to the four legs. The legs are squared at the top with rounded shapes and nodules carved into the top third of the legs. Below the bottom squared elements, the legs they are plain and taper inward towards turned feet. The open shelf near the base of the table is octagonal in shape with rounded cutouts where the legs are attached to the shelf with round head screws. At the center of the tabletop is a large, inlaid diamond shape surrounded by inlaid acute angles, hexagons, and smaller diamond shapes. The open shelf below also features a large, inlaid diamond shape at the center with four spokes extending from each side of the diamond and stretching towards each chair leg. There are smaller diamond shaped between the spokes. The underside of the open shelf is unvarnished.
