A crucifix with a detachable cross (a) and stand (b), displaying the figure of Jesus Christ on the cross. The cross (a) is brass, while the Christ figure is made of a silver-colored metal. He is depicted with long hair and a long beard, and is wearing a cloth tied at the waist. The figure is attached to the cross with three (3) screws, one through the left palm, one through the right palm and one through the feet. The bolts do not extend all the way through to the back of the cross. Affixed to the top of the cross, above the Christ figure, is a small scrolled plaque with the letters [INRI]. This scroll appears to be of the same silver-colored metal as the Christ figure, and is attached to the cross with two (2) screws at the proper left and proper right. The bottom of the cross has a small collar where the cross screws into the base. The crucifix base (b) attaches to the bottom of the cross with a short, thick screw. The base is circular and hollow. Etched onto the hollow inside of the base is [U. S.].
