Round Storage Box

Round boxes made from precious hardwood were not uncommon during the Ming or Qing dynasties, but few were as large as this. The container could have stored any number of small items or possibly a hat. The box and lid are hollowed out entirely from one piece of wood and taken from the center of the tree trunk.
