Ovoid jar

The shape of this jar is known in Chinese as yueya er guan (jar with new-moon handles) or riyue guan (sun-and-moon jar). Celadon-glazed jars of this type continued to be produced in considerable numbers in both the Qianlong (1736–95) and Daoguang (1820–50) periods.
