Offering Set

Intended for the tomb, this offering set would have held special food offerings for the spirit of the deceased. At times the brightly colored sancai glazes were used in pairs to give a mottled effect. The lead-fluxed glazes co-mingled readily imparting a somewhat relaxed, natural effect like the one seen here on these perfectly formed matching containers and their tray.
