Formerly in the collection of the famous French collector Albert Maroni (1852-1923) as attested by the red seal in the bottom left corner, this impression is actually a woodblock-printed reproduction from the Meiji period. Amongst other criteria, reproductions of this design can be identified by the white line at the bottom of the snake's body and along the foot of the stand.
