Handy Hot toaster, model AEUB

Initially a British invention of the early 1890s, the toaster was the first domestic appliance to make use of the new power source—electricity. The first patented pop-up toaster was designed in 1919. Named the Toastmaster, it was put into production for restaurant use by the Waters-Genter Company of Minneapolis in 1921. Chicago Electrical Manufacturing’s “Handyhot” toaster was produced in several variations, with a consistent emphasis on compact geometry
