Brazier with hydrengea design

This ceramic brazier is a relatively small, portable stove used to heat water for serving tea in an iron teapot. This collaborative piece, crafted by the master ceramicist Itō Tōzan II, is glazed with a neutral background that brings out Kamisaka Sekka’s fresh hydrangea-and-grass decoration.
