A Leaf, so It Has a Back and Front

Using his bare hands instead of a mold, Kofushiwaki spent about a month creating this freestanding sculpture. In order to support the object, he used a heavy boulder as the base, thus suggesting that the foundation is like the roots of a tree. The title indicates that each side of the monumental foliage has a distinct appearance.
