Dinar of Abu Hafs `Umar ibn Ishaq

This is an extremely fine gold coin from the Almohad (al-Muwahhidun) period in North Africa and Spain. The obverse and reverse carry field legends written in a elegant cursive naskh script in a square placed within a circle. Additonal legends are in the margins.
