Painted canvas fragment

Painted plain weave cotton duck canvas fragment with knife cut edges and no visible ground layer. Dark red paint is applied diagonally with respect to the canvas weave overall, with matte paint strokes over glossy ones. Dry brush stroke shows raw canvas in the matte area.
