Obv.: Laureate bust of Nero r., wearing the aegis; around, NERO CLAVDIVS CAESAR AVG GER P M TR P IMP P P. Rev.: Nero, bare-headed, cuirassed, and with cloak floating free, prancing r. on horseback, l. hand holding spear; beyond and behind him, mounted soldier prancing r. with vexillum held over r. shoulder; in exergue, DECVRSIO. Overstruck on a sestertius of the Ostia harbor type. AVGVSTI with the harbor statue and the tops of topmost ships are still visible.
