A Rajput king on a nocturnal hunt points his rifle toward three boars standing amid faint tufts of grass. The raja and his two attendants sit concealed behind a hunting blind, and we see their figures through a thin white screen that blends with the mists and sands in the milky moonlight. The raja, dressed in a green jama (long belted tunic), eyes his quarry intently, nearly ready to fire a bullet, and his attendants anxiously observe.
