In the center of this plaque is a frontal human figure, wearing a cross-hatched shirt; a geometrically patterned robe; and a tall, conical helmet. He is flanked by spotted felines with long, curling tails, positioned above fields of patterning. The plaque belongs to a group of about ten closely similar pieces that constitutes the artistic high point of metallurgy in the southern Andes.
