This large platter with grape and floral decoration, which is different from small stem cups decorated with dragons, CMA 1957.60 [http://www.cma.org/art/1957.60] and CMA 1964.168 [http://www.cma.org/art/1964.168], was made primarily for export to southeastern and western Asia. However, a similar example bearing the Xuande reign mark has also been excavated from the Ming imperial kilns at Jingdezhen.
