Head of Bearded Banqueter

This terracotta head of a man features wide, almond-shaped eyes and a serene smile beneath a long mustache. The man has a long beard and wears a wreath with leaves protruding above and below a string of fruit or beads. His head is covered by a pointed cap. This fragment probably belonged to a figure of a banqueter, or perhaps even Dionysos, the god of wine.
