Arthur Purdy Collection

The projects of Arthur Purdy typify a post-World War II design trend: the architect-designed large suburban residence with a relatively high budget built on a large lot. Purdy was known throughout the Chicago area for well-designed, sensitively-sited comfortable suburban residences. Several of his projects won Distinguished Building Awards from the Chicago Chapter of the American Institute of Architects.
