About
This dazzling haori combines diagonal stripes in alternating colors with chrysanthemums. Brought to Japan from China over a thousand years ago, the autumnal flower has a widespread and long history in Japanese art. Narrow, vertical black stripes interrupt the allover pattern, creating the illusion that the pattern is being viewed through a screen.
